Merry Christmas

This Christmas, remember that not everyone is spending it the same way. Not everyone is welcoming it with their families. Not everyone has a decent meal on their table. Remember that this may be a season of joy to most, but to some it’s just an ordinary or worse, a lonely day. Some people are spending the Christmas without someone for the first time. Some seats are not occupied and cannot be occupied anymore. Some are staring at the calendar sitting on the hospital table. Some are sipping wine alone in their hotel room. Some are roaming the streets, selling whatever they can, looking at families who attend the mass together.

This Christmas, may we all remember them and pray for them. And if we can, let’s send them love. To our friends, our loved ones, to people we haven’t talk to in a while, and even to strangers we meet along the streets. You don’t need to buy everyone gifts, a simple greeting or a smile is enough because the thought itself is enough.

Tonight, may we all remember that Christmas isn’t about material presents but the abstract ones that weigh more than what meets the eye; love, kindness, compassion. May we all radiate the spirit of Christmas.

Merry Christmas everyone, sending love from our home to yours🤍
